Words of Praise

Amazing foundation doing amazing work. It was a privilege to go with Scott and his team to Haiti and see their hard work first hand. Hope to Haiti can’t do it alone, they need your help too. Please consider a donation to keep this going. 🙂
In 2013, Scott Bonnell, CEO of H2H, gave a magnificent presentation on his work with H2H to the Rotary Club of Tallahassee. I was so taken with this presentation and the passion that Scott has for his work , that tears were coming from my eyes. I was so proud to write a check to pay for a small filtration system for the H2H project and to actually see such a system. I am now involved with this project as a volunteer and look forward to the future for the H2H project and the work that Scott Bonnell is doing.

I just wanted to congratulate you on the steady progress you and your team have made in Haiti. The homes, the schools, clean water, orphanages and economic help have surely made an impact on the well being of Haiti. I will continue to support your efforts for as long as you are lead to work to help the Haitian people.

I had the unforgettable experience to travel to Haiti for the first time this May 2015. I met Scott from Hope 2 Haiti on this trip. His organization was hired to assist, educate and provide a unique experience for the group I was there with. I spent extra time asking a lot of questions about Haiti, his charity (Hope 2 Haiti) and about Scott himself. He talked about what he was doing for the kids of Haiti regarding food, shelter, education, clean drinking water, shoes and clothing. Things we all have and take for granted. He was brutally honest and very transparent as he answered all of my questions. He talked about his food plan costs, his orphanage costs, how much he needed in donations to cover these costs, what he brought in for donations, for Haiti and he even shared some of his background and personal life in Florida. He is quite a remarkable man.By the end of the trip I was blown away by Scott’s absolute purity, integrity and honesty. And I believed in the goals for his charity, Hope 2 Haiti. The one thing he told me that I found insanely profound was that the source of donations were very wide but not very deep.I asked him to explain and he said he has many people who donate small amounts every month that help make an impact on these children lives in Haiti. He doesn’t have a few big (deep) corporations donating thousands of dollars a year (which would be amazing) but instead, he has many regular, working class people, like you and me, helping a little bit every month. It would be awesome to get those huge corporate donations and maybe someday he will. But Scott made me understand that I would be making a difference with an amount that I could donate. Many small donations. Very wide but not very deep. Hope 2 Haiti is changing the lives of children with all of our small donations. I am proud, happy and honoured to be a part of that.

H2H is one of the most important organization in the rebuilding of Haiti after their devastating event. I’ve never seen an international organization so committed to changing the lives of the underserved. More importantly, their prudent and judicious use of resources makes their cause a worthy investment, as we as donors know that the monies are being used to support the people of Haiti and not a corporate structure. I highly recommend H2H as one of the most important and necessary charities for both individual and corporate donations.

There are so many concerning stories about various charities that do not actually use the donations they receive for the causes they are promoting – and some just don’t manage the money they receive very efficiently. To that end, I personally travelled to Haiti to investigate two different charities that I was interested in supporting on a monthly basis – and Hope to Haiti was one of those organizations. I spent several days witnessing first-hand what this organization is accomplishing under the highly effective leadership of Scott Bonnell, and I was extremely impressed. Not only did I see with my own eyes the amazing work being done, but I also had the privilege of spending quality individual time with Scott which allowed me to get to know the man on a personal level. Scott is the real deal. He is authentic and compassionate – and he absolutely loves what he is doing in Haiti. Scott is also very well connected with (and greatly respected by) the local workers that he coordinates with in Haiti, which further maximizes the efficiency and impact of every donated dollar that his organization receives. I can’t say enough about this wonderful work that is led by this deeply committed man. Bottom line, I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a safe and effective place to put their precious charitable donations – to set up a regular monthly automatic donation to Hope for Haiti today.
